I think that the high pass filter is very sensitive in terms of signal 
overload. It may help if you reduce the oszillator levels, avoid resonance 
peaks from the lowpass filter and too much signal amplification from the 
delay feedbacks/levels.
If you use the distortion, that cames after the hp filter in the signal 
path, any crackling from the HP filter will be strongly boosted.

Yes, I realized after that the distortion was on a little bit and that 
was a big factor. I'll have to check the resonance, that sounds 
like it could be contributing also. Thanks for the tips.
