evolver as midi clock master

hello list, i have problems using my evolver as midi clock master for a tr808. the tr808 just won't start when i start the evolver. i use a two way midi clock/din sync box. using the tr808 as master works perfect. syncing the tr808 with logic and the same box does work perfect. is there a special setting in the evolver except midi clock out? any ideas? oliver
