help, gig tomorrow! evolver not recognized

help, gig tomorrow! evolver not recognized

2005-05-19 by innerd00r

hi all,

sorry for this plea, but my evolver's not being recognized by my
editor (pc-soundtower)...it was before...but when i fired it up today
to practice for my gig tomorrow, no midi...it's trying to install new
hardware but not recognizing the evolver...saying the driver's not
installed. i have installed and used midi-yoke since i last used the
evolver, do you think that could be causing a conflict. i just can
get the editor to recieve or transmit info to the evolver, though i
can get sound out of the evolver manually.

thanx for any suggestions,

bill

Sounds like you have MIDI Yolk routing your MIDI signals to the wrong
place..

I'd try uninstalling it and seeing if things perk up.

yes i earn a living as a music technician...yes, i spent 3 hours
troubleshooting my system...yes, i didn't realize my driver was out
for the cable, that also happens to be my midi-interface...yes, i'm an
idiot! damn, if it were a snake i'd be dead several times over...sorry
for the false alarm, m-audio got me again ;)

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
