bcr 2000 with evolver

high all,
did anyone have success to use behringer bcr 2000 learning mode with
evolver. i tried it, but the parameter range i got was different from
original evolver ones, sometimes parameters jump values, did i miss
something ? has someone allready made a evolver preset for bcr 2000 ?

I might be wrong here, but I don't think that the BCR2000 can handle sysex
sufficiently to work with the Evolver...

Yah, the edirol devices don't either. I spent a lot of time working it
out and learned a lot about SYSEX, only to find out that the Edirol
doesn't support the format that the Evolver wants the parameter settings
  to be communicated as (ie. 1 - 126, or 1 - 164 ).

the evolver wants the parameter setting number to be something like follows

[ Sysex Begin ]

sysex info
..
..
..
[Parameter setting]
xxxx 0000 (nibble, Least Significant)
xxxx 0000 (nibble, most significant)
..
..
sysex info

[End Sysex]

This is roughly the format, I may have those reversed, can't remember
off hand, but I know that the parameter is actually parts of 2 seperate
bytes. The last 4 bits (or a nibble) of 2 different bytes to be exact....

If there's a manual for me to peruse about programming the BCR for
sysex, I'll take a look and see if it is capable, but I think I recall
it wasn't. Do an archive search off of the yahoo group page and see if
you find something.

Check this out...

Dave is almost finished with a new rev of software for the Evo (and the rack, too) - it'll now
accept a bunch of cc's...not all parameters are addressable, but over 50 will be, including
the ones most people probably reach for the most often.

I'll let you guys know when it's up on the DSI wweb site. Should be very soon.

Oh wow! That's great! I guess it's true if you wish hard enough,
things can come true! :)

Dave listens to his customers, that is f-ing great news. With that I think
we can say the evolver is finished, a done deal - a properly classic synth!
