patch memory

Hi Guys, My Evolver(original) has been pretty reliable for the past
two years. When I fist got it one of the encoders on it went but
Dave sent me a new one and I replaced it. Also, I had it
unplugged one time for about two or three weeks. When I
plugged it back in all the patches were gone. I told Dave about it
and he sent me a replacement chip. I haven't had any problems
since, but then again I haven't had it unplugged since then! This
is my worry. I'm doing three live shows in the next month and the
Evo plays a central role. If I went there and plugged it in and the
patches were gone I'd be so screwed. Does anybody have
experience with unplugging their Evo and the patches aren't
there? I have saved the patches to a document on my hard drive
but I'd be freaking out if right before a gig I had to reinstall
everything. So, has that been a issue with anyone else?
