Hi - The knobs seem really loose on my tabletop Evolver. In fact, a few of them fell off, and I had to scrounge around the studio to find them. Is there some kind of goo I can put on them that will keep this from happening? Thanks, Scott

Not so loose that they fell off, but it is very easy to pull them off. I case of the epromm upgrades it's not so bad, but specially for live situation it is not very save. Maybe you try just put a small piece of paper inside, this will make it a better, but not perfect. Anyhow, never glue them!!! In case you have to opening the case you will have problems. Stefan

Maybe there is some kind of sticky stuff that will hold them on, but never solidify and make a bond. privat_joy wrote: > --- In DSI_Evolver@yahoogroups.com, Scott Kellogg <glaive@g...> wrote: > >>Hi - >> >>The knobs seem really loose on my tabletop Evolver. Alternately, you could do what I did and mush a bit of tissue paper between the shaft and the knob interior. Best Regards, James -- http://www.carbon111.com

I'll try the paper. That seems like the least invasive way of handling it. I wonder why the knobs are like this? Dunno, man, I got my Evo in June, it's got a fairy high serial number (1817 or something). >Dunno, man, I got my Evo in June, it's got a fairy high serial number >(1817 or something). Just telling you what Dave himself told me. Based on the fact that not a lot of folks are having this problem, I'm assuming he's being straight with me ;) (my Polyevolver Keyboard dosent have this problem with the *same* knobs - 70+ sloppy knobs would be Baaaad) Best Regards, James -- http://www.carbon111.com

Yes, the knobs are a bit sad. I actually lost two knobs a while a go, probably fallen when I packed the Evo in bag. Anyway, I think it's a standard size pot so shouldn't be hard to find better ones, I want metal :-) Happy cycling, .jon 2005/10/5, Scott Kellogg <glaive@...>:

The trick for knobs is a light squirt of hairspray.

Ahh, nice. Slightly tacky, but still easy to remove.
