I am confused! :) Actually it is a little confusing to equate filter cuttoff 
with the function of amplitude (although it can *sound* like it is doing the 
same thing as a vca). For example your examples would not work to "close" 
the sound off by turning down the filter cutoff if the filter env amount 
were up enough, etc., depending on the shape of the filter envelope.

Just being overly technical. :)

Sorry if I wasn't clear.  I certainly didn't mean to equate "Filter 
Cutoff Frequency" with "Amplitude".  They're obviously not the same 
thing.  I only meant to make the point that (for most synths that DO 
include a "VCA Level" setting) you CAN have the VCA Level turned up, 
and yet not hear a sound without hitting a key, because the Filter 
Cutoff is set to zero.  Fair?  :)

I actually tend to program a lot of patches that way on my various 
synths - with the VCA Level turned up, and the Filter Cutoff at zero, 
leaving the Filter Cutoff Envelope solely responsible for letting any 
sound through.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
