Help with first SYSEX

Help with first SYSEX

2006-07-17 by pypedreammusic

I'm using a PEK with the PolyEvolver Sound Editor for PC and MIDI I/O
connections to my EMU 1616M. I have downloaded MIDI OX and I now want
to get familiar with loading and saving programs. Where can i look for
a step by step of this process. I think i know what do from the help
section of the software manual but i don't want to make any dumps
without knowing what i am doing.

I would like to dump one bank or programs from one bank to open up
some slots on the PEK for saving my own programs. That way, I can
write programs and save them when my PC is off and not using the sound
editor.

When I ask the sound editor to receive all evolver data, it starts to
but then hangs up somewhere in the first or second bank. ??

I also have the problem that I loaned the PEK to a friend and he
played with it extensively. When i got it back, i noticed that the OSC
Pitch of each preset stays the same no matter what note is played. The
first sequencer (A1) light is lit up and stays lit for every patch
(sequencer will not run but will trigger envelopes when you turn a
sequencer rotary) I am lost on how to restore myself to the original
state when i unpacked the PEK from its box. I checked the site's
troubleshooting section and I found a possible solution (trigger
select to ALL or MID) - I will check this when i get home.

Any help is appreciated.
