Q: Patch change behavior while trigger the sequencer from an external input?

using a v2.0 MED I'm sure we all know and use teh feature where current sequence/patch will finish if you hold the shift while selecting a new patch. I was trying this while using external audio triggering of the sequence and it wasn't working as expected. Anyone else noticed this? any solutions? thanks, john
