Entering notes using a midikeyboard.

Hello all, When creating sequences it would be a much more efficient if this feauture works. Does anyone work this way and can explain me how to do it? I just want to hit a C3 on my keyboard which has to be "recorded" by the selected step in the sequencer of my Desktop Evolver. Anyone tips? Cheers
