Triggering Evo sequencer from an old drum machine?

Hello Evolveroids. Would anyone here be able to tell me if you think it would be safe to try and trigger the sequencer on a desktop Evolver using an old SR-88 (like Boss DR-55) drum machine? It puts out a 5V clock pulse and I was hoping I'd be able to whack this into the input on the Evolver. Just wondered if there was a possibility of causing some damage? Cheers.
