Knob Sensitivity

Knob Sensitivity

2007-08-07 by gennerek

Hello fellow Evolver users,

I just purchased an Evolver a few months ago and am thinking Ill have to send it to Dave
Smith, but thought I would check here first.

Unless I move the cutoff (or a few other knobs) knob realllllly slow, it doesn't register and the
values go back and forth but not but much so theres really no effect on sound. Often, if I try
to lower the cutoff too fast, which really isn't fast at all, the cutoff goes up! The resonance
knob seems fine however for the most part.

Its confusing, it seems like a sensitivity problem, maybe by restoring the factory settings it
will return to normal?

Any help would really be appreciated. I love the keyboard but this knob thing is truly
annoying and takes away from having fun with it.

Thanks,

Joel

Sounds like you picked up a unit with a faulty rotary encoder on the
cutoff. You can try re-setting to factory settings, but I don't think
that's going to solve your problem as this sounds like a hardware issue.
