Osc. 4 Bug?

Osc. 4 Bug?

2007-10-09 by wilsontherocker

Another Osc. 4 question, ha!

Last night while programing on my DEVO, I noticed that when I told
Osc. 4 not to track the keyboard (i.e. Glide set to OFF), it did not
respond and continued to track pitch coming from my midi controller.
All the other oscs did as expected when their Glide was set to OFF and
stayed on the same pitch no matter what note was being played.

However, when I set the transpose (Xpose) to OFF (i.e. Key off for all
oscs), Osc. 4 stopped tracking pitch.

I turned my evolver off and on and reset it as well, but the problem
was still there. I checked all the mod slots and there's no stray
controller telling Osc 4 to track pitch.

Can someone tell me what might be wrong? Or is this bug repeatable on
other evolvers?

Thanks!

From the DSI manual:

"Though not quite Glide related, if you set glide all the way to
maximum, it goes to OFF, which has the effect of disconnecting
oscillator 4 from MIDI."

This is not what I'm experiencing. It's working for all other oscs,
just not osc. 4.

Works fine on my MEK. I don't have a desktop to try it out on. You
could try mailing DSI directly. I've always found them to be very
responsive. Dave even writes alot of his own support emails!

Thanks for checking! I just wanted to run it by this group before I
email DSI incase I'm missing something obvious.

hi,

i am not\ufffd@in front of the evolver right now, but i
recall noticing the same behaviour on my poly rack.
also i think that if you set only osc3 glide to off,
then both osc3 and osc4 do not track the keyboard. i
did not report it to dsi yet though.

cheers
