sequencer bug

sequencer bug

2008-02-10 by staplesyrup

If you trigger the sequencer in "one step per midi note" mode, sequence one goes out of
synch.
specifically it starts on step two rather than step one, after reset. I mailed DS about it and he
said it would be fixed next firmware update. its annoying! i use that mode alot.
has anyone else come across this? is it a problem on all evolvers? what about the poly
evolver?

Yes, i experience the same bug on my desktop Evolver (plus another RESET sequence bug).
See my message:
http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/DSI_Evolver/message/5942

I've mailed Dave a month ago but haven't received a reply.

I get this on my Desk Top Evo as well. Also, it seems the LFO resets on
Step 2 as well, rather than step 1.

MIDI control of PWM?

2008-02-11 by Computer Controlled

I see in the manual that there's no MIDI control over PWM. Is there a
reason for this? I wanted to set up my controller for control of PWM,
but alas, not available =o[

I don't have an Evolver yet, but I would think you would so it about the same as my other dozen synths....assign PWM as a destination in the modulation matrix and use a midi controllable value as a source, like a CC you are not using (maybe breath or expression), to the modulation input....shazam...a midi controlled modulation parameter....

You can use the VSTi Editor I've made to automate any Evolver parameter, via sysex - for
instance modulation amount. you can save that automation as VST automation data. you
set up your controller map in your host sequencer.

try the editor here

get an Evolver first though!

I found out that it's CC #28 for Osc 1 and 29 for Osc 2.
