Dave Smith Instruments SYNTHESIZERS

When using combo mode in the Poly Evolver Rack I can set up a combo
where 4 programs can span 4 midi channels. But, when I send a program
change along any of the midi channels, the Poly switches to program
mode. I don't see a way to lock into combo mode so that I can play back
4 independent mono programs and have my computer's sequencer control the
program for each of the parts. Is there a way to do this?

Hi,

I have that same problem. I hope there is a solution as I have had the  
same problem and even had to add midi events in my sequences (Digital  
Performer) to make it switch to combo mode, etc.

It would be nice if it would do that but I suppose one problem is that  
the polyphony of the voices in combo mode are set within the combo  
rather than being dynamically assigned.

Perhaps one thing we could suggest to Dave for the next update is to  
allow voices to be either dynamically assigned OR mono, e.g.- a mono  
bass line along with dynamically assigned voices for poly strings and  
another sound.
