LFO1 and 2 same rate/amount - but different sounds?

LFO1 and 2 same rate/amount - but different sounds?

2008-04-05 by Horton

I'm trying to do some sync'ed LFO tricks, but my LFO's seem to
randomly drift in and out of sync with each other. I'm talking basic
LFO1-->Osc1, LFO2-->Osc2 with the same amount and rate, osc slop off,
etc.

What's up? Why don't they stay synced?

I don't have an Evolver yet, but I would something similar on my Virus by syncing each LFOs to a master source, such as midi clock....

So THAT'S what that does. I could never understand why it went from 100
to 1 again like that. So i'm guessing past 100 the LFOs trigger on each
note received? Not MIDI Synced but Key Synced?

Yes, key-synced. But why guess? It's in the manual :)

Also, LFO frequency values over 150 sync to the sequencer BPM in
divisions from 32/1 to as fast as 1/16.

I've never noticed it in the manual. And oops, i meant past 150, not
100 =o]

Actually, wait, i think i confused myself here =o] I meant LFO AMOUNT!
Not speed =o] I knew the speed went past 150. Good god, i gotta learn
not to type just after getting done with work =o]

page 31 of manual sez:

"Amount: 6 3 0…100, 1…100 Sets the amount of LFO, 0-100. When
you go
past 100, the scale starts over at 1, but now Key Sync is on. This
means that this LFO
will restart every time you hit a key."

and page 30 sez:

"Frequency: 6 1 0…150, sync Selects the frequency of LFO. Range 0
– 150 for
unsynced LFO; speed ranges from slow (30 seconds) to very fast – at 90
(8 HZ, C-2)
and above the speed steps in semitones, up to 150 (261 Hz, middle C).
Note - some of the analog functions can’t respond very well to the
fastest LFO
speeds, due to speed limitations of the control voltages; but it will
certainly
generate some interesting sounds."

clear as mud. roll with it. :)

I never got a real manual with mine. I've just skimmed the pdf version.
I printed out the Definitive Guide and pretty much just learned from
that and tinkering.
