Using Evolver Sequencer in a Computer Sequencer

Using Evolver Sequencer in a Computer Sequencer

2008-05-05 by Iain Bryden

I want to record Evolver sequences in my computer sequencer (Sonar). When I MIDI synch the Evolver, the Evo sequencer turns on when I hit play or record in Sonar. Is there a way (some CC command perhaps) to turn the Evo sequncer on/off wherever I want in my recording to begin/end?

Thank you.

Right. That's my problem. I don't have the ability to control where the
sequence starts playing in my project when I have MIDI synched. I can't
start/stop the sequencer from the computer anywere in my recording, it
always starts way at the beginnng - when I hit record or play on the
computer.

Ah, ok. So now all I need to figure out is how to apply these messages
to Sonar.

The Evolver Keyboard doesn't transmit start/stop button messages does it?
