[PEK] combo issues

hello, I've just purchased the PEK and try to set a combo of 2 instruments to play them simultaneously and separatly within Cubase. But as I try to change program or midi mode value for any part, the data or the whole synth freeze !! I've changed OS (1.5, 2.1, 3.4) Is it a known issue ? Thanks for your replies.
