if tetr4 -- then when's the PEK voice expander next?

if tetr4 -- then when's the PEK voice expander next?

if DSI can pack 4 voices into the Tetr4 to chain to a prophet8...then they can make a cheap 4 ( or 8?)voice expander for the PEK---right? and have it so small it can mount INTERNALLY... and maybe have a USB out jack as part of it. it seems DSI is figuring out mods for its existing stuff such as that factory sanctioned Prophet pot mod so this would be a great idea to simply upgrade their 'flagship' keyboard ....

All the DSI synths are very similar. So much so that someone in this
group found it possible to interchange Evolver and Prophet patches.
Multi Mode, described as a new third mode in the Tetra, seems like the
cure for the Combo mode problem in the PER, if there's ever an update
for the Poly Evolvers.

As I recall, the idea of a voice expansion was just a suggestion made to
DSI by one of the listserv members here, and it is not yet officially
announced by them.

that would be real sad to think that they wouldnt continue to provide improvements---such as additional voices. (4 isnt much) .considering they just offerred a serious mod to the prophet 08. (the PE--or pot)

I agree. In my case though, I think that with the med, I have access to the 'sound' of the evolver series that suites my needs and the idea of the tetr4 might add a few new flavours that perhaps a per (as cool as it could be) might simply duplicate. And as someone said, the evolver is incredibly deep already. Now just need to find $800!

Bill

ps...I do wish it had audio inputs.
