Dave Smith Instruments SYNTHESIZERS

Man, i created a group today for this synth, now i found  link on
sonicstate to this group, awesome, one less thing for me to worry about. 
Now down to the meat, does anyone know if this synth will do a patch
called digidude from the prophet vs? This is the sound heard on NIN "
thats what i get " i think. Im getting my synth in two days, i hope i
can get many VS sounds out of it as well as many new ethereal and just
plain nice sounds out of it. 
Sorrry for the rambling, i have had a little to drinky dinky

what is NIN and vs?? 
evolver is a little modularsynth...without
patchcords.. but same modular kind of thinking.
i got it yesterday and the only thing i have to learn
is the shortwords for everything.
it sounds great:) i sat with it for nine hours without
eating..thats a good grade i think.
you can get it to sound however you want it to sound.
but the allready done patches in it is kind of
happytrance ibizaeletro main standard..but im starting
to get some crazy nozyi rythmics from it..i have to
figer out how to use the clockdivider on diffrent
oscilators..so it wont sound so stiff..if it its
possible i dont know, im an old breakbeatDJ/drummer so
im damage by breaks and cutting.
but you will find the same stuff like in every synth.
but this one just sound very nice and got a
neverending modulation at your service:)
and of course 4x8 analogue sequenser..thats why i
bought it, im  hooked on stepsequensers.

But i hope you are kidding. Seriously, I dont know how that patch is created on the vs so i dont even know where to start. I guess ill have to scratch the idea and email Bill Smith and beg him ;-)

well..i belive thats the kind of filters they put in
waldorf synths my dear man:)
or am i wayyyyy wrong on this..that whas just what i
heard.
i have some sounds/patches that i made tonight that im
"kind of proud of" hehe.. is there somewere i can
upload audio or sysexfiles??
one Quastion..
the clockdivider on osc 1...im trying to have 32n on
osc 1 and 16 on the rest for rythimcs but have no luck
in this..isent this possible??

Waldorf has made lots of synths, and used many different types of
filters in them...

The evolver has a couple of CEM-like (not sure if they're actually from CEM)
12/24db low-pass filters which I suppose might be sort of like the
Waldorf microwave 1, as I believe that had CEM LP filters.

Anyway, they sound very nice.

no, not possible.....
the clock divider is a global setting, and effects the entire sequencer.
It's just stuck in the programming matrix in the osc 1 section because there
was space there for it.
The lines enclosing groups of parameters are actually there for a reason!
:-P

Speaking of not so good parameter placement in the matrix, there is one
other non-osc parameter in the osc2 section which took me ages to find when
I first got the synth - key mode.

Still, the parameters have to fit somewhere....

made:)))) on any "only one synth"!! and this is only
the third day!! this reaally suits my kind of music:)
