Hosting demos

2002-11-02 by thligrdd

Hey, you guys have probably (hopefully) noticed that I've submitted a
couple of sets of demos using the evolver. You might have also
noticed that they can't always be downloaded if the daily download
limit has been reached and that I'm taking up almost half of the
available file space. I was wondering if anybody has some space
without such stringent download and file space limitations, how this
group's space and accessability can be increased, or any ideas where
I can get some webspace of my own to host demos and such...I know
absolutely nothing about webspace, HTML, etc. or I probably wouldn't
be asking.

Every "free" hosting site I've used always starts charging you after
a few months. Your best bet is to find out if you Internet Provider
gives you any web space.

Or as someone else suggested, send them to Dave Smith and let him put
them on his page. I don't mind the demos being on this group, but if
we are going to run out of space that quickly, it's probably better
to keep the 'files' section limited to smaller things like
patches...anyone else have ideas?

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
