Unless someone here has already converted the SysEx files to MIDI
format, your best bet is to convert them yourself. I haven't gone
through this procedure myself, or I'd be happy to spell it out step
by step for you. I remember reading *somewhere* that it's a fairly
simple process of adding some header information (and possibly
trailer info) to the SysEx file to make a MIDI sequencer recognize
the file as MIDI information to be "played" (i.e. "sent") by the
sequencer. Where did I read that? It was probably in one of three
places: 1) the MIDI-OX documentation, 2) the Evolver manual, or 3)
this Yahoo list. If I come across it again, I'll let you know.
Anyone else here already familiar with the process of converting a
SysEx file to MIDI format?
One other idea, Greg... Why don't you just load the SysEx files
(presets) into your Evolver, then dump them from the Evolver into
your Roland MC50? I'm not familiar with the MC50, but it DOES
*record* MIDI data, right?
