Attached is reset type patch I made that is a good place to start. Beware it loads into position 50 I believe.

I haven't find this info yet.
Is there a way to initialise a program/patch so
you can start your programming from scratch ?

Thanks

VCA level drone

2003-01-22 by E Steinberger

When I turn up the VCA level even just a little bit, it makes the sound drone non stop. Is it supposed to do this?

Yes, assuming that your Filter Cutoff Frequency (row 3, knob 1) is
something higher than zero. As with any old analog subtractive
synth, if the Amp is turned up, and the Filter is open, there's
nothing to stop the sound of the oscillator(s) from coming out.

When you want a Key On event to trigger the sound, you keep the VCA
Level AND/OR the Filter Cutoff set to zero, and use the VCA Envelope
AND/OR the Filter Envelope (the Envelopes are triggered by the Note
On messages) to turn up the Amp AND/OR open up the Filter in order to
let the sound through.

Make sense?

Nevermind, i figured it out. Geez, this manual is kind of sparse. I
need to print out the mod destinations. But I can say, I am sitting
here and this cool little plum box has already obsoleted my esq1 and
my an200. I mean , what can they do that this one cant? I dont really
like my esq1 that much as the display can get gremlins, and my an200
sounds dry. This thing can sound bloated, sweet, its just incredible.
now i just need to get a few of those new alesis modular effects if
the sn is good.

Re: [Evolver] Initialize a Program

2003-03-22 by Ravi Ivan Sharma

Save it to position 50, then move it, (save it) to your desired position (say 128 or 1 or whatever you like) then you can have it there, and you if you want to give it to someone then you can save it from your new position as a midifile, then it will have THAT position in it.
If you have something you love in 50, just move it temporarily to achieve what I have said above.
The best use, is to place the reset file somewhere (probably the last patch) and then whenever you want to "initialize" a patch you can just scroll to that patch and then save it to the patch you are initializing.
