FW: Pintech CS/2-DM - oversees orders - dual zone pads

1999-12-12 by Sanctum@xxxxxx.xx.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Here's the low down folks.

Looks like if you buy a Pintech concert cast pad, then you have to put it through inputs 9/10 to get the rim to fire. Pad as trigger 9 rim as trigger 10.
Although this is unfortunate, it's not the end of the world.

Musso,
Sorry to hear i didn't get this info to the board in time, but like it says use a y-cable and plug into the 9/10 input and it will work just fine. You won't get a "rim" trigger showing in the display for 9 or 10, but you should assign the rim sound to trigger 10 and the pad sound to trigger 9 you lose some of the functionality of the true "rim" inputs, but I bet it'll still be worth it to have a real good pad for the snare.

Hope this info clears up this long lasting debate that we have had.

Regards
	Andy

Dear Andrew,

Our dual zone concertcast pads will work with your DTX if you use a Y
adaptor either at the pad or the brain but must be plugged into channel 9/10
or 11/12. These two channels are true two zone trigger inputs. All of the
other channels are dual trigger/ membrain inputs.

If you use our SE pads they are two zone trigger / membrain pads that have
choking capabilities and will work on all channels of your DTX.

Hope this helps. I'm am you will love your pads.

Thanks

Tony

DTXpress, or would the two outputs have to be plugged into two seperate
inputs?

would I get any rim response if I did that?
