Where did you get your DTXpress III Special?

I was looking into buying it on Musician's Friend, but they told me it
only comes with the hi-hat stand (I even called them to confirm it).
I read the Yamaha website, and THEY say it should come with all three
(hi-hat stand, pedal, throne).

Sounds like Musician's Friend is trying to rip me off. I might have
to take my business elsewhere...

Hello Ryan

I have it. It does come with a serviceable bass pedal, a hi hat stand
and a throne. Sticks and a lesson book would have made it a turn-key
kit. I am REALLY happy with the new cymbals and the new cymbal sounds.
My only complaint is that I have to really stand on the hi hat pedal to
get a fully closed sound. Well- not my only complaint: the tom mounts
are hard to get tight enough and the throne seems thinly padded for my
elderly rump.( I've noticed that one can spend considerable money on a
throne- I'm much too Calvinist to spend money on comfort) This is a
whole lot of e-drum for the money.

Hey Ryan
I wholeheartedly recommend Drumbalaya. This is because they have encouraged me with expensive cars, free drum lessons, and dates with MTV video dancers. Well- they did send me friendly emails. I would be surprised if you can find a better price or better service. Plus you get to support a small business that has been very encouraging to this community. As I mentioned in an earlier email- look for the little pig icon next to the kit on their page. You have to jump thropugh a hoop or two to get their unadvertised best price- but I found it well worth my while especially considering that I was able to avoid sales tax and shipping charges. www.drumbalaya.com

Let me know how it goes.
