Hey Guys,
I took a look to the pictures of the
group, and they're so precious for the DIYer I am :)
Thanx for sharing this !
Then I looked to this 'magic box' in the
gallery, and I really wonder what it is :D
Is it something made to adjust the level of
triggers ?
Are there some amps in it ?
I'm so curious about it ;)
I searched thru the messages but unfortunately,
didn't find any info about it.
Another question : a Roland 3-zones cymbal need 2
inputs on the module. It seems Yamaha found the way to have 3-zones stuff
connected to 1 input only. Do someone know how it works. I thought about
something that could do the trick, using the DC properties of piezo, but I'm not
sure Yamaha stuff work this way.
My idea would be something like that (applied to a
3-zones ride) :
- Piezo + to tip / - to ground &
Switches off = Bow hit
- Piezo - to tip / + to ground
(inverting the signal with a circuit controlled by the mswtich on
the bell) / Bell switch ON / Edge switch OFF = Bell hit
- Piezo + to tip / - to ground & Bell switch
Off / Edge switch ON = Edge hit.
Wiring would then be : Piezo + to Jack tip /
Piezo - to Jack Ground / Edge mswitch to Jack Ground+Ring. Bell mswitch
connected to an internal inverting circuit.
Btw, OldGuyDrummer, your kit is... so BIG :)
Congrats !
Cheers,
