Bass Pedal Creep

2004-11-19 by rav4t3

Hello all,
After reading the groups glowing reports and along with other
positive reviews, I am now the "proud" owner of a DTXpress 111 Kit.
First impressions are pretty good. I like the idea of being able to
play along with all the invisible Bands, I will save a fortune on
going to the Bar.
Anyway, after quickly skimming through the manual, and reading your
emails, I am pleased to learn that tweaking the Cymbal sounds is
possible, I am as many others, a little disapointed with the factory
HI Hat and cymbal sounds for example. Has any one any quick tips on
improving this ?
Also, I have experienced something that I have not encountered for
Decades - that is Kick pedal creep !(DW 5000).
I note that the Velcro & Spikes on the Yammy Pad fixture, and on the
base plate of the DW kick pedal still don't stop the whole thing
going walkies.I thought the days of banging six inch nails into the
stage were long gone.
I have also noticed that when I clamp the DW Pedal onto the raised
lip on the Yammy Pad fixture the pedal and fixture seem to
arc, resulting in the whole unit flexing when operating.
Has anyone in the group experienced this old chestnut ?
and more to the point, any tips on how to cure it ?
Cheers.
