Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

Hi

Does anyone else find the pads harsh? I'm not talking about the sound,
I'm talking about hitting them. It makes my wrists hurt after a while,
and I don't remember that happening with a 'proper' kit.

Would a pair of drumming gloves help? Is there a particular type I
should get (what with Christmas coming and all :-) )
