Unless Stuart comes back with a specific recommendation, I'd go with 
light sticks, maybe 5As or lighter. You don't have to hit electronic 
drums hard; the law of diminishing returns with force happens pretty 
quickly. Let the module settings do the work. Light sticks may help 
to alleviate any extra stress.
