Hart's Multipad is just what it sounds like, and Alternate Mode's
TrapKat is an elaborate system with its own grooves, layering, etc.
The Kat MIDI lineup may be overkill for drummmers with tin ears or
little melodic capability, and it's expensive. But it is fantastic.
Any pads with FSRs or piezos that can be connected to the module
directly via 1/4" jacks or via an intervening MIDI cable can access
its sounds.
