One very simple technique I use on the kick tower is a computer mouse mat. I find the rubber pad on the kick tower very hard so I roll up one of those 5mm thick neoprene mouse mats around the kick pad and secure it with cable ties. It has a bit more give and is not as noisy - works very well for me. As it wears out you just move the mat up or down to suit. I can't take credit for this though - some one else on this list mentioned it last year. Paul
