Hello all. I have owned a DTXpress for two
months now and I am thoroughly impressed with the results. They sound
fantastic live and are a doddle to record. The only concern I have is
as to the durability and lifespan of the pads. Yesterday I noticed that
quite a severe indentation has become apparent on the kick pad rubber and
there are now grains of rubber all over the tower (I use a felt Pearl beater as
suggested by my retailer). Is anybody else experiencing
this?
Also, in light, it is clear that the pads are
becoming quite marked. How long should they last before replacement?
I don't play particularly hard and I use wooden tipped sticks as opposed to
nylon. Any tips on how to increase the lifespan of the pads
would be greatly appreciated.
Regards
Phil G
