Re: Hart Dynamics pads

2004-12-05 by vl2000_us

I am running a DTXtreme IIs with the original 5 Yamaha pads plus 8
Hart toms and a Hart snare.

I am nothing short of thrilled with the performance of the Hart
products, albeit it takes a little extra experimentation because they
play, respond and trigger a little differently than the Yamahas.

The only problems I have experienced are on 1 of the toms and on the
snare, some occasional dropped hits.

After working thru a gazillion settings changes and combinations of
rejection settings, I am thinking its a head tightness issue. I am
in the process now of kind of overtightening the heads, to see if

a) there was too much deep vibration maybe causing the trigger to
cancel itself, or

b) if the softer head tension was allowing my stick to somehow
overdrive the trigger.

Again, this has only been on 2 of the drums, and overall they have
performed, and look great.

Hope that helps.
