> How does the double kick pedal sound and work on the DTxpress >III. Can you setup a second kick pedal and pad or is the double >beater on the one pad work ok? For the DTxpress III you have 2 options, one being a lot easier than the other. 1. Get a double bass pedal. I think just about any standard double pedal will work. I did run into some problems with the Axis pedals' beaters being a little too far apart and to the left, but at least with DW's, Gibraltars and Rogers, all have worked on the KP65. I'm sure the same is for Yamaha's, Tama's, etc. That's the easy option... 2. Add a second kick pad and pedal. On this one you'll have to swap input 1 to 9/10 which is explained in the manual. The hard part is that for some unexplained reason, the kickR voice on every single kit is set to a cowbell sound (???). This means every single standard kit you want to use will have to be resaved as a user kit with a bass sound for kickR. Not impossible, but more work than it's worth to me. My advice would be to go with the double bass pedal. If you feel adventurous, then add a pad to input 10 (cymbal or 4th tom). You will still have to to some pad revoicing for the kits you want though...
