Hi dblock,

It could be a velocity problem or a physical one. We don't know any
of your settings or how hard you tend to hit. If you have to use a
lot of brute force to get anything out of the trigger, you might
check your gain and minimum velocity settings; a low value for the
former and a high one for the latter could impede triggering. A high
self-rejection setting could also be responsible, and if your kick
has a sensitivity knob, too high or too low a setting could be
interfering with response. Also, get into the trigger mode on the
display for the kick and check the numerical reading for your hits.
If they're too low for your settings, no matter how you program, the
trouble may be inside the pad. Open it up and make sure that the foam
hasn't worn away enough to reduce contact or a wire isn't loose.
Sometimes resoldering can help, even if no crack is visible to the
naked eye.
