1) Yes
The Mk 1 can use a dual trigger snare, but not the 3 trigged ones.
Please note, we are talking pizeo trigger with a FSR rim switch aren't we,
not a 2 pizeo trigged snare?

2) So-so
It isn't as accurate as a real hi-hat, and they do take some setting up.
You should get, closed, semi-open, and open. You'll also get a closed sound
when you close the pedal with your foot, and a splash (once it's set-up
right) too.

3) Original Mk 1's only had single trigged cymbal pads, later versions
offered one dual zone pad.
Both cymbal inputs can use dual zone pads.
Again  - we are talking pizeo with a FSR rim switch aren't we?
