I'm not realy the guy to answer this, so I hope some of the more MIDI compatible members of this list help you out more, but here's a real simple one. On the rear of the DTXpress is a four position switch, which controles what the brain talks to, I have mine set to MIDI because my band uses a MIDI out from a PC, all works almost fine ( read my problem querry if you fancy a laugh ). As for anything else, sorry I'm in a state over the sequencer and midi connections too. Hope you find your answer ( don't forget about the DTXpress web site posted by Giles - http://www.gihe.demon.co.uk/DTXpressions/ ) ---------- From: meadowman@... Sent: 12 December 1999 19:59 To: DTXpress@onelist.com Subject: [DTXpress] Problem with Tone Generator From: meadowman@... I have just collected my new DTXpress that my wife is getting me for Xmas - I am not allowed to set it all up until Xmas but I have connected up the "brain" so that I can see how it functions and listen to some of the preset songs. My problem is this - I have connected my computer sequencer to the MIDI in socket on the "brain" and I was expecting to be able to play some of my sequences. I can't get any sound from the brain - I know I have a midi signal at the Midi in on the brain because I have one of those little LED attachments to test it. What obvious thing am I doing wrong please ? Perhaps there is a setting that I haven't done correctly ? Thanks very much - I am looking forward to playing it properly in a couple of weeks.
