Thanks for that info OGD, That's good to know Yamaha is considering digital connections. It seems that a lot equiptment these days are. I was told that Digital Optical is capable of 8 channels and RCA s/pdif is capable of 2 channels. Since optical is light and eliminates any EM interference and is capable of 8 channels, it would be pretty handy to be able to take 8 channels out from the DTXtreme into a recorder from a single digital cable...If it works that way at all!...?
