There was a discussion about anti-vibe sticks earlier, and as a result I bought a set of Ahead sticks. I wasn't convinced. I found them less easy to grip (although I hadn't had lessons then so that could easily have been me), and the place where the top part connects to the bottom part has a sharp edge exactly where you want to grip them. I bought their gripper tape. That gave me blisters, then one of the tapes came off. Finally, after about three months of playing (at most an hour a day), and remember with our kits there are no cymbals, and no rims to hurt the sticks, one snapped in half. Well, at \ufffd24 a time or so, that wasn't expected. So, I'm currently in unhappiness mode with Ahead sticks and I'm back to really light (7A) wooden ones. J
