I don't personally use Battery, BFD, or Cubase, so I can't be of immense help about getting into the guts of the software. But the fact that your pads are sounding inconsistently, rather than not at all, seems to indicate that something may be amiss at the DTXpress end, or in its connection to the PC. Can you check your MIDI cable and whatever interface accepts it for the PC? I assume that the pads not working at have the correct note numbers assigned. Yamaha has always used nonstandard note numbers for snare and kick. If these two pads aren't working, maybe adjusting the numbers will help. You haven't overloaded the system, have you? If you have MIDI merge enabled (or MIDI thru), you could be cycling information between both components, impairing proper performance. Maybe adjusting the Dump Interval in the Utility Mode would also help. Check you trigger settings to make sure that the pads are picking up hits adequately. These are a few things that come to mind. Keep us informed. Ed
