To the best of my knowledge, you can't do it on the DTXpress sequencer 
alone without erasing the song. You'd have to play along with a song 
via MIDI on another sequencer while recording the combination on track 
1. Then you could record on track 2 with your second kit, or whatever 
melodic instruments you wanted to add.
