Hi James. Somebody a while ago was creating, or thinking of creating, an instrument definition for the DTXpress on Cubase. Oh well. I don't use Cubase, but I wonder if it has some sort of special MIDI note on/off function for choking, or a way to set up a choking group-- called Alternate Group on the DTXpress--for a selection of notes that stop when another begins. I vaguely recall that Cubase handles cymbal chokes with two separate notes, although I might be confusing it with BFD. Anyway, maybe you can experiment with these funtions until a definitive answer turns up. Ed
