Hi all,I just bought a DTXpress III kit and when recording a midi
track on chnnl.10 in Cubase SX, all works well except the cymbal
choke. While audible thru headphones & the module's stereo out,
the 'choke' is not being recorded in the Cubase sequencer midi track.
I suppose it's a midi note number hangup, but I don't know too much
about midi programming.
Is their a value in the module or the Cubase sequencer I can change
to activate the cymbal choke effect for midi recording??

Thanks for any help.

James

Hi James. Somebody a while ago was creating, or thinking of creating,
an instrument definition for the DTXpress on Cubase. Oh well. I don't
use Cubase, but I wonder if it has some sort of special MIDI note
on/off function for choking, or a way to set up a choking group--
called Alternate Group on the DTXpress--for a selection of notes that
stop when another begins. I vaguely recall that Cubase handles cymbal
chokes with two separate notes, although I might be confusing it with
BFD. Anyway, maybe you can experiment with these funtions until a
definitive answer turns up.
