Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

I have a DTXpress 1 and I'm just getting into using the MIDI 
functions.  I'm wondering what software everyone is using?

My first attempt was using DTXchange.  I followed the info Giles 
provides on his site and everything seemed to work on the PC side, but 
nothing happened on the DTXpress?  

I tried to load DUMPSTER but it couldn't locate a VBRUN300.DLL file?  I 
did some web searches and can't really find much on DUMPSTER other than 
references to using it.

Just so you know, I'm using a MIDIsport UNO cable from M-AUDIO.  This 
cable allows you to connect to the PC using a USB port and has the 
interface card builtin.  Don't know if this is the issue but wanted to 
mention it.

Any help you can offer would be appreciated.
