Would the guys at Drumbalaya be a good source of council? > Thanks in advance Hi chat, The DTXtremeIIS is just a flat-out more versatile kit than the DTXpressIII kits, with arguably better voices. The module allows more control over the individual sounds that are programmed into it, and it also permits you to import your own samples from elsewhere. MIDI is basically just MIDI, but DTXTIIS implements it with more aplomb. The guys at Drumbalaya are aces, and Ed Morin, I'm sure, would answer all of your questions. But let's not overload him just yet. If you have particular questions about the differences between the two kits and about MIDI, ask them here first. OGD, my co-moderator, is the foremost expert on the DXtremeIIS, and he should see anything that you ask eventually. I don't know from your post what exactly you're trying to find out about MIDI, but we should be able to accommodate you once you narrow it down a little bit. Ed
