Hi Mose,

Most people use the MIDI option, whether via a USB connection of some 
kind or a MIDI cable to their soundcard (often with a MIDI adapter if 
to a Soundblaster type with a joystick connection). As you say, the 
TO Host cable can be hard to find, and it doesn't offer any 
advantage. I don't recall that the Yamaha MIDI cable/conduit 
offerings have any special problems, but you might run a search of 
our archives on a particular product to check.
