Then I broke from it for a few years. I recently joined a band, bought the DTXpress, and found (by asking in the local music shop) a good tutor. That's been great, I'd recommend it. Incidentally, I gigged with the kit for the first time last week and it went down really well. That same music shop is run by a 'proper' drummer and he said "an electronic kit eh, have you gigged with it yet?" and then gave me a knowing look. Well, I bite my thumb at him! If you haven't worked out your amp yet, it's the most common question on here. The answer is you need a keyboard amp not a guitar one, Peavey KBs are the most common, but I went for the Behringer KX1200 and love it (although it's rather big and heavy). You need the range .. high for the cymbals, low for the bass drum kick. OK, so I strayed from my welcome, but since you're just starting I thought you might be interested in hearing my path. Have fun :-) J
