Volume problem when Connecting my DTXpress to a PA

2005-10-26 by daddykingcool

Hi all

I hope someone can help me with this annoying problem.

I'm having trouble getting a decent gigging volume when connecting
my DTExpress to a PA system.

I have tried 2 different PA's. The 2nd is a brand new Mackie 400
watt active speakers system.

Basically if I try to turn up the PA input for a decent gigging
volume the PA peaks (goes into the red). The drums have to be
turned up much higer than anything else plugged into the PA just to
get anywhere near the right / comparative volume.

I have experimented with the volume on the DTXpress Brain (makes no
difference) and switched the live sound option on (also makes no
difference).

I have also tried comming out of the left input and right input on
the brain (and both) - still makes no difference.

Are there any other settings on the Brain that I could try - does
any one else have this problem, does the DTExpress have a low output
volume.

Any help on this will ne appreciated - I don't want to do a factory
reset as it took me hours to get all the right sounds and custom
kits etc sorted out + stopping the mis triggering whci I now have
just right.

Many thanks.......
