Raven eDrum – cool new software

2005-11-24 by Paul

Has anyone else got the new Raven eDrum software from www.digital-
black.net?

I started using it a couple of days ago, and I have to say it really
is excellent!

You plug your pads and triggers into a multi channel ASIO audio
interface hooked up to your PC, and it basically acts as a electronic
drum "brain" – up to 16 pads, each with 8 sample splits, and it uses
standard WAV file samples (up to 32bit / 192 KHz). The triggering is
fast, responsive, and you can really tweak it to dial it in just
right…

The supplied samples are nice sounding – though there aren't many.
It also supports MIDI too – so after I get some more samples, I'm
considering splashing some cash on Battery or BFD!

Anyhow, the Raven is a bargain I reckon! Who says blondes have more
fun? ;)
