The guys at erdrum for free (or try http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/DIY-edrums/ ) know a lot more about glueing piezos to things & where, but I bought a cheap piezo and wired it up to the DTXpress just to see & it worked fine. Cost around 50p I think ($0.30). Depending on how dead the material is that you mount it on, you may find it works better one way round than the other. Also, don't forget you have the attenuation switch to play with on the back of the module if you need to. Keith.
